Installation is simple; maintenance workers can install them.
Before installing the Titan Anti-Slip rung covers, the ladder rungs need to be clean of any paint chips or corrosion and free of any debris. Each rung should be cleaned with solvent and allowed to dry before applying the adhesive. For the tubular rung covers, lay a ‘1/4” Bead of adhesive down the full length of the center of the cover and lay it over the existing rung, align it, and press firmly on to the existing rung, ensuring a tight, even fit. Wipe away any excess adhesive. For the square rung covers, lay a ‘1/4” bead of adhesive the length of both the internal angles of the cover. Place the rung cover over the existing rung, align it, and press firmly to a tight, even fit. Wipe away any excess adhesive.
We’ve installed our rung covers in just about every environment over the past 35 years, and I can truly say, we have never had a complaint or return. They should perform very well in a cement mill. They will have to periodically brush off the dust buildup, which they should do anyway as a safety precaution. As I mentioned to you, cement mills produce a lot of dust that can build up over time if not cleaned off regularly.
